To steer a course through the electronic maze this list of web sites on the left have been compiled for the EMT Instructor.  Instructors can find information they can use in developing lectures or enhancing student knowledge of emergency medicine.  These sites have the potential to provide access to a whole new realm of information for the instructor and students.

Books

Brown, C. Square Pegs and Round Holes. Lake Worth, FL: EES Publications, 1990

An easy-to-use test designed specifically for EMS instructors.  Not quite as meaty as the McClincy test listed below, but it still contains some good information.

Hoff, R. I Can See You Naked. Kansas City, MO: Andrews and McMeel, 1988.

Once you get past the title, you will find a test that contains pertinent information on public speaking.

McClincy, W. Instructional Methods in Emergency Services. Upper Saddle River, NJ: Brady/Prentice Hall, 1995

This text is the most comprehensive manual to date on methods of instruction for EMS personnel.  Experienced and new instructors alike will find this book to be a valuable source of information.

Ooosterhod, A Classroom Applications of Educational Measurement. Columbus, OH: Merrill, 1990.

This text is directed towards theory and makes a nice addition to the libraries of those instructors who want more information on evaluation tools.

Simmons, S. How to Be the Life of the Podium. New York: AMACOM, 1993.

This book contains quips, quotes, and stories that can be used to spice up almost any presentation.
