TRAINING AVAILABLE

The U.S. Army School of Aviation Medicine (USASAM), Fort Rucker, AL, has initial/refresher training available for interested units. The training is available for Active and Reserve Component soldiers using Distance Learning technology.

USASAM teaches the Flight Medic Course, the Flight Surgeon Course, the Aeromedical Evacuation Officer Course, and the Aviation Psychology Course as well as general aviation medicine topics. These classes can be tailored to prepare units for upcoming training events or to meet other specific needs. Flexible training times are offered.

USASAM can teach these classes over a weekend when units drill, or during the normal work week. All classes can also be taught via Video Teleconferencing directly to the unit. Units should contact Course Directors/NCOICs listed on the web site to establish training. For more information, interested NCOs should contact:
